Tell us a little about the work you do.
I work in a lot of different areas, from content creation to media relations and account management to email marketing. I enjoy content strategy and storytelling above all! You can't be an effective communicator without having a solid foundation of (and passion for) writing. Particularly when working in an agency setting, I find that organization and time management are incredibly important, too.
What do you find to be the most valuable part of your PRSA membership and why?
I love connecting with others in small group settings. The one-off panels and field trips are really valuable, and I always meet a few seasoned professionals that have great insight to share. I also look forward to award season each year and celebrating all the inspiring work across the region!
Do you have any exciting plans this summer, either professional projects or personal trips/adventures?
I ended spring with a trip to Portugal, so that was my big vacation for the year, but my summer is filled with little getaways, concerts and pool time. I planned quite the Richmond extravaganza for my parents in August -- taking them to a Squirrels game, NASCAR race and other iconic Richmond spots.
What books, podcasts, music, or movies are you enjoying or excited to check out this summer?
I'm catching up on my Goodreads goal this summer with memoirs, Emily Henry beach reads and some classics. Just recently loved "The Seven Year Slip!" I'm anxious to see if Sabrina Carpenter's new album is filled with songs as ridiculously catchy as "Espresso" and "Please Please Please."
